About Zhe xuan L
Cambridge graduate passionate about Science of learning
I identify myself as a problem solver. Although my educational background is predominated by developing embryos and rare genetic disorders, I have decided the problem I would like to solve is the one of education. Having 10+ years of experience in the current state of education, I can say the one thing that is lacking is [research-informed teaching].
Despite the multitude of research on the science of learning, the inertia to change is apparent. For example, the incorporation of “active recall” is often thrown around as a buzzword for effective teaching. But is that really the case? Without proper feedback and the right exercise, we as educators won't be able to effectively ensure our students encode long-lasting memory of the taught subject.
My role in helping you is this: I will incorporate what I've learned in terms of teaching techniques and use it to enhance your learning experience. I hope that I can help you with your subjects, looking forward to hear from you!
