I am a Qualified Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (QTS) with Specialism in Spanish A levels (Native Spanish Speaker) and French to GCSE level. I have worked for several years as a MFL teacher in the UK for different maintained schools in Essex, London and abroad in South America. In 2010, I was appointed teacher in charge of Spanish at Blackheath High School, an Independent School for Girls (Girls’ day School Trust) in Greenwich-London, teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5, raising standards according to the NC, developing well-structured lessons and demonstrating pupils’ progress towards their predicted targets in Spanish. In 2014, I assessed for IB International Baccalaurate Spanish B intro to enhance the global approach to pupils.
I have been receiving Continue Professional Development (CPD) by the Department for Education (DfE) being trained by Rochester Grammar School in 2017 and currently, in 2019, by Tonbridge Grammar School both schools in Kent, through the Teacher Subject Specialism Training (TSST) to enhance the new trends in pedagogy, Teaching subject knowledge in French for GCSE, methods of delivering outstanding lessons and knowledge in depth of the new GCSE for AQA, IB and Edexcel examination boards.
