I am very outgoing and dedicated to making sure my tutees fully understand what I am explaining. I myself am a visual learner so I implement that into my lessons where with every explanation is a diagram to go with it. Since I work with young students who's concentration spam is relatively less than older students, I make sure that I plan more than one activity so that they do not feel bored very quickly. My usual lesson structure is a quick recap of the main point of the previous session followed by a new topic which will build upon the knowledge the student acquired the previous lesson(s). I find that the best way to understand if a student has fully understood the lesson is by having them walk through a question out loud. I begin with explaining the foundations of the topic, then working through questions that solidify the foundations to later exploring problem solving questions that are based on the foundation practiced.
