About Charlotte H

GCSE English Literature Tutor

Through these unprecedented times, I began to think about how I could utilise my skills as an English graduate. The pressure that children are now being approached with as they are missing out on vital hours being taught from a classroom is concerning. I believe that the next best thing would be online tutoring to help students who are unsure on certain aspects of their course, or to help ease their worry of not falling behind when they finally return back to the classroom. Additionally, English Literature is a subject that requires discussion and in my lessons, I will ensure that my students finish the sessions feeling satisfied, content and significantly more prepared.

I intend to approach each lesson with a student completely differently and uniquely. Each lesson will be tailored to my students requirements and their insecurities in the subject. Additionally, every tutoring session will be followed up with feedback and a detailed summary on what has been discussed in the lesson if desired.

English literature has always been a subject that I've throughly enjoyed. I chose to study English at university because I enjoy reading and learning about different societies through literary analysis. The course I studied at university has enabled me to study through literature, the different social attitudes to various issues including the treatment and role of women, social mobility as well as the folly of war.

I am currently completing the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) at the University of Law and will be recieving my results in July. The GDL is is a one year full time degree that allows for non-law graduates to enter the legal profession by studying the fundamental core modules. Next year, I will be completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC) to embark on my ambitions on becoming a solicitor. However, for the time being, I hope to help others in a subject that they may find difficult or to provide support in their studies.
