Time with a District nurse. I spent a day with District Nurse which gave me an insight into the qualities that one needs to possess to do the job. It taught me valuable assets needed such as patience, care and rapport. Overall this widened my insight to the medical profession and made me realise this was something I would like to pursue
Voluntary work with a tennis coach. During the time I ,spent with the coach I coached children from the ages of 6-12 which helped me develop communication skills and leadership skills. I had to teach the children certain drills which required me to communicate clearly and confidently. To add to this I also had to discipline children who didn't behave correctly.
Part time work with a photography company, I worked regularly last summer with a photography company. My role consisted of packing and selling photos to clients. I was also required to find potential clients and persuade them to purchase photographs. This work has helped me develop better communication skills and also confidence. I was also required to work under pressure organising and packing photographs for large numbers of clients in short time scales.
